IT: Lennard Zinn è un famoso costruttore di biciclette, scrittore di libri sul ciclismo, giornalista di Velonews e, più in generale, un guru della tecnica ciclistica. E' stato anche uno dei primi a ricevere un campione di Caffélatex, quindi si può dire che lo ha testato più a lungo della maggior parte dei tester.
Nell'ultima puntata della sua rubrica "Technical Q&A" su Velonews. com, Lennard parla di ciclocross e di scelta di copertoncini/tubolari: siamo stati molto soddisfatti nel leggere che Mr. Zinn si è convertito al Caffélatex.
Citando dal suo articolo (la versione completa sul sito di Velonews.com, in inglese, qui) soltanto alcune frasi:

"Ho sei set di ruote per il ciclocross - 4 con tubolari e 2 con copertoncini. Utilizzo 25-30ml di Caffélatex in ciascun pneumatico. Nei tubolari, smonto il meccanismo valvola e inietto il sigillante utilizzando il tubo della siringa. Per i copertoncini (..) metto la siringa direttamente sulla valvola ed inietto attraverso il meccanismo valvola. Nessun problema di funzionamento della valvola dopo questo."
"Ho scelto Caffélatex dopo aver visto le demo in fiera, il pneumatico trasparente all'interno del quale il sigillante si trasforma in schiuma. Direi che questo fornisce un grado di protezione aggiuntivo in caso di pizzicata, dove in genere si può essere sicuri che il sigillante non riuscirà a raggiungere il foro più vicino al cerchio. (...) Sono tornato a casa dopo allenamenti con tubolari e copertoncini da cui sporgevano spine su ogni lato, senza che me ne accorgessi. Nessuna perdita di pressione neanche nei giorni successivi. Era come se non avessi nemmeno forato"

In his recent "Technical Q&A" on Velonews. com he speaks about cyclocross and tyre/tubular choice and we were very pleased to read he has become a Caffélatex believer.
Quoting from his article (you can read the complete article on Velonews website here) just a few sentences:
"I have six sets of cyclocross wheels – four tubular sets and two clincher sets. I run 25-30ml of Caffélatex in all of my tires. On the tubulars, I remove the valve core and stick the hose of the syringe injector over the valve. On clinchers, (..) I just stick the hose of the syringe injector right over the valve and shoot it right in through the valve core. The valve works fine afterward."
"I chose Caffélatex because of the demos I’ve seen at bike shows in transparent tires where the sealant stays foamy. It would seem to me that this would give a measure of protection in the case of a snake bite (pinch flat), where usually you could be certain that a sealant would not seal the hole of the snake bite pair that is toward the rim. (...) I have come back from training rides on both clinchers and tubulars where there were goat’s head thorns sticking out of my tires all over the place, and I never even knew it. No air loss in subsequent days, either. It was as if I had never even hit a thorn in the first place"
